Besides just plain doing nothing and sitting on the grass under the shady apple trees, I managed to also do a couple more paintings, thanks to abundant sources of inspiration all around me. Daisies are popping up everywhere, including the wild varieties on the fields along with other tall grasses, begging to be gathered in a bouquet and painted. Here’s a shot of a study that I did the other day.

Bright red poppies are almost done blooming; I gathered the last few of them for this still life. Their color is so intense, and I don’t think that I was quite able to replicate it—such red hue has not yet been invented by anyone but nature.

Life’s slow here in the country side, but I certainly enjoy this change of pace. Until next time!
