In my blog as of May 5, 2010, I talked about the Memory Project, a wonderful undertaking that my students and I have been involved in last school year. We created portraits for the orphans in Peru, who would keep these as their mementos of their childhood. I just heard back from the project organizer, Ben Schumaker, that our portraits have been delivered. Mine found its way to this precious boy. This is by far one of the most gratifying things that I’ve done with my art.
